It's cool. Most people niche down because they're already a specialist in a field. Personally, I'm slowly building an audience on medium even though my writing doesn't follow a particular niche.
On any given day, I could write about gaming or social inequality or financial advice, depending on my mood. As long as every article is high quality and caters to that pub's specific audience, it works out.
Like yeah, none of my articles have hit 1k claps yet but I'm getting increased engagement across Medium and Twitter. That engagement part is key for growth and is underrated.
Just my two cents, I have actually read a lot of your stuff. Most of it sounds like generic self-help stuff that I have heard repeated so many times. Finding something that's unique and suits your style is pretty important.
That's just my opinion---you have way more followers than I do so I could be wrong lol.
